Memphis Declines to Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss - Chris Crawford scored a career-high 23 factors, but was unable to link on a Southern Miss beat Memphis, 75-72 and three-point shot at the buzzer. Crawford related on 9-of-15 (60.0 %) field-goal attempts, including 5-of-7 (71.4 %) from three-point selection.
Southern Miss were trailed by Memphis 15-7 6-2 C-USA (20-3, 7-1 C-USA), 69-65, with under a minute to play, drove the amount of the ground and when Will Barton selected a wayward free-throw try. Barton received a foul and sank both free throws.

Despite shooting 56.3 % (27-for-48) from the ground and decreasing Southern Miss to 41.1 % (23-of-56, Memphis couldn\\\'t conquer its poor rebounding energy and a strong free-throw shooting efficiency by the Golden Eagles.
Memphis was outrebounded, 36-23, resulting in 15 second opportunity points for Southern Miss. The Golden Eagles also connected on 24-of-27 (88.9 %) of their free throws, compared to 13-of-17 (76.5 %) for the Tigers.
Southern Miss clicked Memphis\\\' 18-game win streak contrary to the Golden Eagles. This is the first-time since the 2nd activity of the 2003-04 period.

Memphis returns to the pleasant confines of FedExForum for the final non-conference game of the time against Xavier University. Activity time is appointed for 12:00 p.m. (CT). The women\\\'s baseball team is planned to perform UCF following the men\\\'s activity, with tip-off at 4:00 p.m.
